Today is my birthday. I always forget it is coming up these days.
Maybe because I have mentally blocked it out... but mostly because Annabel's birthday is exactly one week before mine, so there is much more attention to be paid on her special day than there is on mine. Thank god, the less focus on my birthday these days the better !
And so, instead of throwing myself a pity-party, I am having some of my new girlfriends around for a fun evening of drinks and poker. Most haven't played before, so I think it will be a fun evening of giggling and getting to know one another.
Another year older... but, am I any wiser?
